Cordero, Ronnie, 61, of Little Falls, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Ronnie is predeceased by his parents Rafael and Irma Cordero. Devoted husband of Jean Esperanza Cordero. Loving father of Ronnie Cordero #1, Ronnie Cordero #2, and Karla Cordero. Caring stepfather of Marie Calibuso, Nelizza Calibuso, and Imee U. Calibuso. Adored grandfather of Gavin Xander Yasin, Gabriel Hasan Yasin, and Asher Blaise Labrador. Beloved brother of Carlos F. Bonilla, Norma Cordero, Ralph Cordero, Miriam Cordero-Ramos, Lucy Cordero-Trias, and the late Irma Cordero. Ronnie was a dear uncle to 20 nieces and nephews.
Born in Jersey City, Ronnie was a long time resident of Little Falls, who dedicated much of his time to the town he lived in. A former United States Marine, Ronnie joined the Little Falls Fire Department in 1980 as a member of Engine Co. #2 and transferred to the Eagle Hose Co. #1 in 1982 where he was still an active member. He was Assistant Chief for Eagle Hose Co. #1 from 2007-2019. Ronnie was voted Firefighter of the Year by the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge in 2018. Ronnie began working for the township of Little Falls part-time in 1986 and later became a full-time employee in 1998. He was the town's Zoning and Housing Inspector from 2002 until the present day. Ronnie's presence will be greatly missed not only by his family but by the township of Little Falls as well. Due to state mandate at this time, service is private to the family.
