John, 87, of Towaco, formerly of Singac, passed away October 27, 2017. Loving husband of Joan (nee Wedekind) Hrebenak. Caring father of Brian Hrebenak and wife Louise, John Drew Hrebenak, and Christopher Hrebenak and wife Brandi. Adored grandfather of two grandchildren. John is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. John was born in Singac and lived there for 30 years before residing to Towaco. Before his retirement, he was a steel worker at Continental Can in Wayne. John was a veteran Marines Sergeant serving in the Korean Conflict from 1948-1954. Committal burial will be held on Monday, October 30th at 11 am at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Arrangements were entrusted with Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.

Colleen J., 56, of Belleville passed away October 21, 2017. Survived by her long term companion Joe Boucher. Caring mother of Richard Gray. Loving grandmother of Kayla Gray. Beloved daughter of Eleanor (nee Heffern) Galuska and the late Edward O. Galuska. Adored sister of Edward Galuska and wife Peggy, Kevin Galuska, and Joanne Riviello. Predeceased by brothers Alan and Russell Galuska, and Karen Galuska. Born in Irvington, Colleen resided in Belleville for the past 17 years and was a secretary at an accounting firm. She was deeply loved by many and will be missed. A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 375 Woodside Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 on Monday, October 30th at 10 am. Arrangements were entrusted with Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.
Joseph A., Sr., 51, of Livingston, passed away September 20, 2017. Loving father of Joseph A. Harodetsky, Jr., Jesse Harodetsky, Kaitlyn Harodetsky, and Kirstin Harodetsky. Adored grandfather of Gabriella and Jesse, Jr. Caring son of Rudy Harodetsky and Ann Venturini. Cherished brother of Cyndi Burrini. Beloved uncle of Antonella Burrini. Joseph was an avid fisherman, and overall outdoorsman. He was a master craftsman and loved to cook - especially lobster, all things BBQ, and his famous pork roasts. Joseph loved his grandkids and family. Arrangements are private to the family and were entrusted with Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.
Gabriel, 86, of Newark, passed away October 5, 2017. Loving husband of the late Julieta Flores (2012). Caring father of Cristian Flores and wife Fanny, Julia Yompian and husband Enrique, Linda Flores, and Rosa Rojas and husband Giovanny. Adored grandfather of Mercedes Panta, Eilyn Yompian, Alexandra Guerra, Marco Panta, Jr., Alana Guerra, Elaine Yompian, Linda Flores, Samantha Flores, and Christian Flores. Beloved great-grandfather of Cassandra Ortega. Cherished brother of Fernando Flores and wife Margarita. Gabriel is survived by many nieces and nephews. Gabriel loved puzzles and classical music. He was a family and handy man who made the best bread pudding. Gabriel was the president of El Clan Familiar and a member of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church in Paterson. He was very loved by family and friends and will be missed deeply. His family will receive their friends Sunday, October 8th from 4-8 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 9th at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, 100 Fair Street, Paterson - please meet directly at church. Helen G. (nee Grabovetz), 89, of Singac, Little Falls, passed away October 3, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Dymitr Szach. Devoted mother of Tina Kostecka, Diane Frazier, and the late Michael. Loving sister of Ann Dunajchuk. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Born in Garfield, she lived in Singac before moving to Brick and eventually returning to Singac. She was the owner of Metro's Bakery, Singac for thirty five years. She was the founder and member of The Reach Out Club and Afghan Club of Little Falls. She was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary and American Legion Post 348 of Brick. Helen was a parishioner of St. John's R.O. Church, Singac. Her family will receive their friends Friday, October 6th from 4-8 pm, Parastas at 6 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. Burial Service Saturday, October 7th at 9:30 am at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, 29 Weaver Street, Little Falls - please meet directly at church. Interment will follow to East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you give a hug and kiss to someone you love.
