Monica Marie, 65, of Clifton, NJ passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 12, 2017. Born in Paterson, NJ on April 17, 1952, from a young age, Monica was a caregiver to those around her. Whether through babysitting her younger cousins, caring for the sick as a hospital orderly, or her constant compassion and support for her family through the years, Monica exemplified a life of service and love.
Monica proudly worked as an orderly in the Emergency Department at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for over forty years. She saw the service of others as the greatest cause of her life, and gave back many times over what was given to her. Monica was a member of Women of the Moose, a unit of Moose International, Clifton, NJ Chapter 941. She took great joy in the community and friendships she found there, and will be dearly missed by her many friends. Monica is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marie Pearson (née Kirwin), as well as her brothers George and John, her uncle Thomas Kirwin, and aunts Muriel Forbes, Frances Fitzgerald, Catherine Hirz, and Phyllis Cavallo. She is survived by her uncles Charles Donnelly & his wife Barbara, Thomas Hirz, and John Cavallo, as well as her many cousins and friends, and her faithful canine companion Jade. Monica never hesitated to tell people how much she loved them. With a broad smile and a warm heart, Monica would always say how lucky she felt to be a part of her family and be surrounded by such wonderful people. By the lives she touched during her time here, it is clear that her family was infinitely more fortunate and privileged to have known and loved her in this lifetime. Funeral Services are private.
