Cavallo, Barbara A., (nee Behring), 78, of Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Cavallo who passed away in 2015. Cherished mother of Joseph Cavallo and his wife Jo Ann, Donna Cavallo, and Diane Dorsey. Loving grandmother of Samantha Cavallo, Joseph W. Cavallo, Benino Dorsey, and Andrae Dorsey. Barbara was predeceased by her brother William Behring and sister Bernice Behring.
Born in Paterson, Barbara then resided in West Paterson before moving to Wayne 50 years ago. She married Joseph Cavallo on August 25, 1962 and was a stay at home mom until her children were in school. She then went on to work at IMS America for 16 years until she retired in 2000. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Please arrive at the funeral home at 9:30 AM if attending. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Devoted mother of Nicholas Senatore and his wife Lorrie, Sandra Walters and her husband Vincent, and Bonnie Catena and her husband Joseph. Cherished grandmother of her six grandchildren: Jessica Conlon, Alexis Lopes, Vincent Walters Jr., Nicholas Senatore Jr., Tyler Walters, and Stephanie Walters. Loving great-grandmother to her three great-grandchildren: Amelia Walters, William Conlon Jr., and Mason Conlon. Dearest sister of John Galante. Alice was born in Newark where she lived and worked for most of her life before moving to Little Falls 30 years ago. She worked as a cook for the Newark Board of Education at the Wilson Avenue School for 36 years. Alice was also employed as a salesperson at Macy's in Newark for 25 years. The family will receive their friends on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. He was predeceased by his wife Philomena (nee Yodice) in 2018. Survived by his wife Laura Galardi. Loving father of Frank A. Galardi and his wife Lynda, Ronald Galardi and his wife Lisa, Jo Ann Dugan and her husband Daniel H., Christine Scardilli and her husband Mark, Zachary Tassillo, Deena Gathright, and Olivia Gathright. Frank was a cherished grandfather and dear great-grandfather. Frank was predeceased by his 11 brothers and sisters. Born in Paterson, Frank lived in Woodland Park for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II from 1944-1946. Frank was a patrolman for the Paterson Police Department for 27 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of PBA-1 in Paterson. Frank was a member of Calvary Assembly in Woodland Park. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 4- 8 PM at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls.
