Tyrone was born in 1939 in Tarlac, Philippines. He attended Far Eastern University Medical School in Manila where he met Lilia Aquino and graduated in 1964. Tyrone and Lilia married and immigrated to the United States in 1965, arriving in New York City. He completed his internship at St. Clare's Hospital and his pediatric residency at the New York Infirmary, Bellevue Hospital, and Kings County Hospital. Tyrone moved to New Jersey with his family, settling in North Caldwell where they have lived and been parishioners of Notre Dame Church since 1975. He was an attending pediatrician at St. Michael's Hospital, West Hudson Hospital, and Clara Maass Medical Center, served as a physician on the Board of Education of Newark, and had private practice in Kearny and North Arlington until his retirement in 2017. He was active in various medical associations, serving as Chairperson of the Philippine Medical Association in America and Treasurer for the Far Eastern University Medical Alumni Society. Tyrone also served as President of the American Filipino Association in Bergen County as well as the New Jersey Bergen Phil-Am Lions Club. Tyrone loved music, particularly Beethoven, the Beatles, and Simon and Garfunkel; wine; and travel- always enjoying his frequent trips to his homeland, the Philippines. He would spend lazy afternoons fishing, crabbing, or watching golf, boxing, the Yankees, or the Knicks. Tyrone was an avid chess player with his opening move always being "Pawn to King 4". If offered, he would likely not turn down a game of cards, liar's poker, or a microphone to sing some karaoke. And probably most of all, he always found time for fun and laughter with his grandchildren.
