Dino, Carmella M. (nee De Vito), 90, of Wayne, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Devoted wife of the late Charles Dino (2/24/95) whom she married on October 21, 1956. Loving mother of son Jim Dino and his wife Dianne of Cranford, and daughter Susan Alboher and her husband Adam of Wayne. Adoring "Nana" of Olivia Alboher, Tabitha Alboher, Ashton Alboher, and Charlie Dino. Dear sister of Phyllis Dockray and Rose Cuccinello. She was predeceased by her sisters Gilda Maas and Shirley Maggio.
Carmella or "Millie" to her family and friends was loved by all that came to know her. She had a tremendous love for her family and friends alike. Carmella was born and raised in Paterson and then resided in Little Falls for 60 years from 1956-2016 before moving to Wayne. In 1982 she began working for the West Essex School District as a cook in both the high school and junior high where she worked for 15 years until 1997. Carmella's passion for cooking carried outside of her work as she used her cooking as a way to show her love to her family. She took great pride in her signature Italian Sunday dinners. However, Carmella's greatest pride was her family. Carmella loved her four grandchildren dearly and was very instrumental in their upbringing. She had a soft spot for those less fortunate and loved her pets, most notably her two precious dogs, Peppy and her beloved Giorgio. Carmella greatly enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and cherished spending time with her beloved sisters. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Little Falls. As per state mandate a private burial was held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. A Memorial Mass and a Celebration of Carmella's life will be held at a future date.
