William H., 76, of Woodland Park, formerly of Little Falls, passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017. Loving husband of the late Loretta D. Richardson (nee Knaack) (2012). Caring father of Elizabeth Richardson and Bernadette Richardson. Adored grandfather of Lance, Katherine, Jarrad, Amber, Steven, Cathie, Helen, Sidney, and Brandon. Beloved great-grandfather of Erick, Gianna, Pedro, Jr., Noah, Angel, Scarlett, and Ariana. Born in West Virginia, William moved to Little Falls where he resided for over 45 years before moving to Woodland Park for the last 5 years. Before his retirement, William was a machine operator at Roysons Corporation in Rockaway. William was a frequent visitor of the American Legion Post 108 of Little Falls. He was strong willed and a family man who will be missed by many. His family will receive their friends Wednesday, November 29th from 7-9 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A Service will be held at Gaita Memorial Home on Thursday, November 30th at 10 am by Pastor Lee of Little Falls Methodist Church. Entombment will follow to Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Helen M. (nee Calvin) Rosa, 86, of Haskell, formerly of Butler, passed away November 22, 2017. Loving wife of the late Michael L. Rosa, Jr. (1969). Caring mother of Michael L. Rosa III and wife Joanie, James A. Rosa and wife Betty, and devoted mother of Paul Rosa. Adored grandmother of Jimmy Rosa and Micky Rosa. Cherished sister of Alfred Calvin, and the late John Calvin and Peter Calvin. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Helen moved to Butler, where she resided for 50 years. She was a member of St. James R.C. Church in Totowa. Helen was a joke teller and loved to share them with everyone around her. She is deeply loved and will be missed by many. Her family will receive their friends Friday, December 1st from 4-7 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 2nd, 9:30 am at St. James of the Marches Roman Catholic Church, 410 Totowa Road, Totowa. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Mary H. (nee O'Flaherty), 72, of Little Falls, passed away November 19, 2017. Loving wife of the late John H. Stanaback (1993). Caring mother of Helena Stanaback, Deborah Stanaback, and the late Deirdre Stanaback (1979). Beloved sister of Liam O'Flaherty, Kay McClelland, Perpetua Clarke, and Grania Sheppe. Survived by many adored nieces and nephews. Born in Belfast, she grew up in Northern Ireland, then moved to the United States, and has resided in Little Falls for the past 50 years. A graveside service will be held on November 22nd at 1 pm at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Arrangements were entrusted with Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.
Gail M. (nee Wraback), 77, of Little Falls, passed away November 8, 2017. Loving wife of Michael Humecky, Jr. of 57 years. Caring mother of Michael A. Humecky and wife Carole, and Linda Villa and husband Santiago. Beloved grandmother of Daniel Villa, Tomas Villa and wife Samantha, and Nicolas Villa. Adored great-grandmother of Anthony and James. Cherished sister of Donald and Thomas Wraback. Born in Montclair, Gail moved to Cedar Grove, then to Little Falls where she resided for 58 years. Before her retirement, Gail worked as an Operations Officer at Merrill Lynch in Montvale. Gail was a member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church for 58 years. Her family will receive their friends Nov. 10 from 2-4, 7-9 pm, Parastas at 7:30 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. Burial Service will be held on Nov. 11 at 9 am at St. John's R.O. Church, 29 Weaver St., Little Falls - please meet at the funeral home at 8:15 am. Jane E., a resident of Montclair for more than eighty years, died peacefully at Van Dyk Manor (Montclair) on Thursday, November 2. She was 97 years old. Jane attended Lacordaire Academy and Immaculate Conception School. She graduated from Montclair State University in 1941, later earning her Teacher Librarian Certificate there. After raising five children and three foster children, Jane worked as a librarian at the Bellevue Avenue Branch in Montclair from 1970-2000. Following her retirement, Jane fostered two young Vietnamese refugees and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Montclair Senior Care, and a Newark soup kitchen. Her "Letters to the Editor" were regularly published by the Montclair Times. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Edward S. Skillin, the former Editor and Publisher of Commonweal magazine. She is survived by her five children, her three foster children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Mass will be offered in her memory at St. Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Ave., Upper Montclair, on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, Jane requested donations be made to: St. Joseph's Indian School, Box 300, Chamberlain, SD 57325. Arrangements were entrusted with Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.
