Atkins, Nancy M., (nee Marinaro), a long-time resident of Little Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of William "Tex" Atkins who passed away in 1993. She was the devoted mother of Donna Anderson, Wayne A. Wolverton, and Thomas R. Wolverton and his wife Christine. She was the cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and the adored great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Anthony Marinaro, two brothers, and six sisters.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Nancy lived in Clifton before moving to Little Falls where she has resided for the past 55 years. She worked as a bookkeeper and was employed by Bradlee's Department Store in Caldwell for 45 years before she retired. Nancy was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Little Falls. She was also a member of the Little Falls Golden Agers. "Aunt Nancy" as she was known to everyone will be greatly missed. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 4-8 pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A private service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10 am. If attending, please arrive at the funeral home at 9:30 am.
