Gosman, Josephine (nee Talerico), 80, of Little Falls passed away at home on December 8, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Devoted wife of Jeffrey Gosman for 53 years. Beloved mother of Theresa Corage and her husband, Rocco, Lauren Verdi and her husband Anthony. Cherished grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren, Sofia Corage, Aiden Corage, Anthony Verdi Jr., Andrew Verdi, and Olivia Verdi. Dear sister of William Talerico Jr. and Michael Talerico. Loving aunt, friend, godmother, and cousin of so many that were dear to her heart.
Josephine was born on July 2, 1941 in Paterson to Angelo and Theresa Talerico. She spent almost her entire life living in Little Falls. She attended Saint Anthony's Church for elementary school and was a proud alumna of Mary Help of Christians Academy High School. She met her husband Jeffrey on a blind date in 1967 and got married in 1968. Josephine was also a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church. Throughout her life, Josephine was dedicated to helping others and giving back to her community. She honorably served on the Little Falls Board of Education and strived to put education first throughout her lifetime. Josephine began her career at Cyanamid for 14 years and then took a break from working to raise her children. She then wanted to become a good role model to her daughters and proudly began working at United Yarn Associates in 1984 where she worked for the last 35 years. She loved her career with a passion and taught her family what it meant to work hard and achieve success. However, undoubtedly, Josephine's favorite role in life was being a grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with them, going to lunch or dinner, helping them, and being a part of their daily lives. She was an excellent chef and spent many years as a talented cake decorator. She loved the beach, the opera, Broadway plays, traveling the world, and learning about history and cultures. Josephine made strong connections wherever she went and gave respect to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 3pm-8pm at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church, 473 Main Street, Little Falls. Please meet directly at church. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Help of Christians Academy in Haledon (659 Belmont Ave., North Haledon, NJ 07508 or www.maryhelp.org) would be appreciated. Envelopes will be provided during visitation hours for your convenience.

Josephine you were always smiling, Laughing and caring. You surely do deserve a place in the House of the Lord. They say "the good go first and you met the requirements". Hopefully one day we will meet again and I will see that beautiful smile.
