Kordja, Aaliyah "AK" Elizabeth, 19, of Totowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Loving daughter of Jennifer Kordja and Luis Heredia Perez. Cherished sister of Raymond Luis and Luis Miguel "Papucho". Beloved niece of Vanessa Kordja, Taylor Kordja, Lauren Porter, and Ashley LoVecchio. Dear granddaughter of the late Raymond Paul Kordja and Georgia Rasa. Cousin to Ailani Skye Lopez.
Born and raised in Totowa, Aaliyah graduated from Passaic Valley High School and was attending medical technical school with plans of becoming a nurse. She was a loving young woman who lived her life to help others. Aaliyah had a love for basketball growing up, and spent her spare time with her brother, cousin, aunts and friends. She truly loved to be with family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 473 Main Street, Little Falls. Please meet directly at church. This is a true tragedy and loss for us all. To my sister may peace and understanding find you. I’m devastated for you and the world for we lost a very special and unique girl. Aaliyah will never be forgotten.
