Born and raised in Jersey City to the late Vincent and Ann (nee Casano), Vincent was the oldest of two sons to bless the family. After high school he was set up on a blind date with Carol A. Rossi and from then on, the two were inseparable. They married and started their life together. Vincent attended St. Peter's night school and by the time graduation came around they had their first baby. They worked hard at their dry-cleaning businesses, Carol's Classic Cleaners in Union City and later Dutch Maid Cleaners, Verona. Their family grew and soon he was the father of three. Sadly, Carol fell ill and passed in 1984 after a valiant bout with breast cancer. As the years passed Vincent sold the cleaners and took a job with Allstate where he could enjoy more time with his family which was growing again! He was soon crowned the title of Grandpa, and this was his favorite name for sure. Vincent played an active role in raising his younger 3 grandchildren. The title of Grandpa was fondly used by his grandchildren's' friends when they would be over to play. Often Vincent would be seen helping his grandchildren and their friends with schoolwork or bandaging skinned knees. He loved his NY Yankees and loved sharing stories of Yogi coming to the cleaners. When his oldest grandson was serving overseas, Vincent could be found watching a Yankees game with his grandson on the phone watching too. He loved his family and relished any opportunity for a meal together with a glass of wine, the holidays and playing with the grand pups. He will be missed beyond measure. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Carol (he would often refer to as his "girlfriend") and his daughter Ann Marie (1992) whom he's missed for so long. He leaves his children Vincent and his wife Gerry and Michele Kocotos; his grandchildren Holly Krill (Rob), Corey Mullins (Ryan), Kelsey Ditzig (David), Brandy Krisinski (Michael), Staff Sgt. Joseph Kocotos (Heather Williams), Carol Kocotos and Anthony Kocotos; his great grandchildren Jaxon, Justice, Damon Emmit; his brother Daniel Corsaro and many more dear relatives and friends.
