On the morning of February 3, 2020, Thomas Francis Aidala Jr., 84, of North Caldwell went on to be with the Lord, but his presence will continue to live on within each and every life that he touched. Thomas is predeceased by his parents Thomas Francis Sr. and Ann Aidala, his brother Joseph, and son-in-law Louis Del Rio. Thomas is survived by his wife of 58 years, Madeline (nee Coughlin). His sons, Thomas Francis III and John. Daughters: Ann Del Rio, Jeannine and Joseph Paccioretti, and Michelle and Phil Cicala. Grandchildren: Madeline and Jacqueline Del Rio, Alexis and Alanna Paccioretti, and Julianna Cicala. His brother, Richard Thomas Aidala, nieces and nephews.
Thomas was born on November 26, 1935 in Corona Queens, NY. Tom was a proud graduate of the University of Maryland, a US Marine Corp. veteran, and a successful sales executive at Hoffman La Roche who mentored and coached so many along the way. Tom later went on to become a drug and alcohol counselor continuing his love of 'making a difference' for others. In retirement, Tom loved splitting his time between the Jersey Shore and Florida, golfing, kayaking, playing tennis, and getting together with his card group. Tom will surely be missed, but never forgotten by all the lives he touched and inspired throughout his life's journey. May his legacy live on as he smiles upon us all. A Memorial Gathering will be held on February 15, 2020 at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, NJ 07424. Visitation is between 3-8 PM with a service at 7 PM, Monsignor Robert Emery officiating

Dear Madeline, I'm so sorry for your loss. Words never seem to work at a time like this , but I'll try. 58 years of being blessed with your soulmate is something to treasure, and I hope that it gives you strength as you carry on. 5 beautiful children that you both blessed the world with, not to mention your beautiful grandchildren . They'll carry you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. I love you! Deb

Tom was one of the men who believed in a college graduate with no formal education and background in the sciences. Tom was my first Regional Manager at Roche and his energy, integrity and high morale and business standards led the way. He helped mold my career and he leaves a lasting impression on my life and the lives of many others. His legacy was how he lived his life. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers for Madeline and his family

So sorry to hear that Tom has passed. He was a great help to me when I was a young new rep just starting a career in pharmaceutical sales.
