So sorry to hear of Mr. Kosko’s passing. I was one of his math students at PTHS. It is no secret that math is not my strongest suit, but Mr. Kosko always made it a point to take extra time to help me learn. I’ll never forget his analogies he made to horse racing- something I think he really enjoyed. May he Rest In Peace. Sending prayers to his family.

Mr.Kosko was literally my favorite math teacher. He also introduced me to computers ( a class of all boys and me) and he let me get away with everything. He introduced me to track, and although we girls couldn’t compete back then, he taught me how to do the high jump, triple & long jump and run hurdles. As short as I am (5’2”) he wouldn’t let me give up. I kept stats for the team for 4 years, and he always “protected me” from the mean boys. 😜 I just wanted to let you know how saddened I was to hear of Ted’s passing. I remember him fondly. My thoughts and prayers to you all. RIP Mr. K 😢

I had a not so great start with algebra freshman year at St. Mary’s, but within one semester I came to actually like it and excel at it thanks to Mr. Kosko. Two years of algebra and another of Economics - he was a very good teacher. What greater gift?

I have nothing but very fond memories of Ted Kosko. He always wore 2 hats around me, in the classroom as "Mr. K" and on the track and field as "Coach K." Excellent teacher on both counts, and a gentleman to boot. Rest in in peace Ted, thank you for being a part of our lives.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I saw Mr. Kosko while my son was attending PTHS and he still remembered me and some family traditions we had spoken about in the 80’s. I will never forget that. RIP Mr Kosko.

Mr. Kosko was a great algebra teacher and gave me my first exposure to computers at SMH in the early 70’s. As a track coach, he inspired me to go farther than I thought I could and I will always remember his support and persistence in getting me to do my best running track as well as in the classroom. He was an all-around nice guy and I am grateful for all I learned from him. RIP Mr. Kosko. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Ted was both a mentor and friend. He was very influential in the teacher I am today. His patience and ability to inspire children was second to none. He invented Mathesketball to motivate his students. My classes played yesterday as a tribute to Teddy K. they loved it!

I am sorry for your loss, Debbie. Of course you have the "blessed hope" to see him again in heaven. Truly he was a man of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray the love and comfort of the Holy Spirit in you and upon you during this difficult time. He loved you dearly! He now stands with the "great cloud of witnesses" praying for us to finish our race here in the earth strong. (Hebrews 12:1-3) Therefore, we do no sorrow like the world sorrows, but we have hope of eternity in our hearts. God bless you Debbie!! Love you!!

I was privileged to be in one of Mr K’s first classes at SMH. He was an incredible teacher and a good man. He let us get away with a lot but it never affected his teaching skills. He always got us back on track. Everyone I know benefited greatly from being in his classes (both personally and educationally). May he Rest In Peace.
