Galizia, Pompeo, 70, of Woodland Park, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020. Beloved father of Carlo R. Galizia and his wife April, Ralph F. Galizia and his wife Stephanie, and Melinda J. Inzani and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of six grandchildren: Carlo Galizia, Giana Galizia, Avellina Galizia, Ralph Galizia Jr., Liliana Inzani, and John Inzani Jr. Dear brother of Virginia Bambara.
Born in Italy, Pompeo came to the United States in 1967 settling in Paterson. He has resided in Woodland Park for the past 10 years. Pompeo worked in the Passaic County jail as a Shop Teacher for over 25 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church in Paterson. Pompeo was a member of the Roma Club in Woodland Park. The family will receive their friends on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5-8 PM at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. A Funeral Mass celebrating Pompeo will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Avenue, Paterson. Please meet directly at church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa Boro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated. Envelopes will be provided during visiting hours for your convenience. Masks are required to enter the building.
