![]() Nahlah I. Dahmah, 58, of Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, passed away February 15, 2022, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Queens. Born in Beirut, Lebanon to Mounira Khoury and the late Ibrahim Al Dahmah, Nahlah emigrated to the United States in 1990. Although she was a housewife, she was so much more than that. Nahlah believed in higher education to expand opportunities, not only for herself, but her family. Nahlah's entire life focused around being a loyal wife, a devoted mother, and a compassionate daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. When Nahlah wasn't cooking, she was dancing or teaching. Her greatest joy was to feed those she loved and be with her family. Her vivacious spirit filled any home Nahlah was in. She would always put other's needs before her own. Even at her final days, Nahlah was checking on her husband to make sure he ate and that the garbage was taken out. She was a fighter. She did what she could to remain on this Earth with her beloved family. Unfortunately, God had other plans for Nahlah, and she was called home to be reunited with her father, family and friends. Nahlah is survived by her loving husband, Riad Ayoub, adoring daughters, Sylvia Ayoub and Mary Ann Ayoub, caring mother, Mounira Khoury, four cherished brothers, two beloved sisters, and many special nieces and nephews. Nahlah is predeceased by her father, Ibrahim Al Dahmah. Due to the ongoing pandemic, Nahlah's family will have a private service, but will hold a Celebration of Life Service in the summer. In honor of Nahlah's memory, the family asks for donations to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. www.cancer.org
