Luke 23:42 O' Lord, Remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom
Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Spaschak) Renaud, age 90, of Succasunna, NJ passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020. She was born on September 1, 1929 in Little Falls, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Frank Spaschak and Mary Elizabeth (Shaffron) Spaschak. She was a 1947 graduate of Passaic Valley High School and worked as a nurse at the Saint Vincent's Children's Foundlings Hospital in Montclair, NJ until 1957. On September 16, 1956 she married Ronald Renaud at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Little Falls, NJ. They moved to Succasunna, NJ where she remained a life long resident. She was a founding member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Randolph, NJ serving as the Secretary of the Saint Ann's Alter Guild, Church Building Committee Member and Sunday School Teacher for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, walking the beach and crafting with her long-time neighbor and friend Dorothy Doublosky. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald in 1975, her sisters Anna Spaschak and Eleanor Ortley and brothers John Spencer, William Spaschak and Andrew Spaschak. Surviving are her beloved children: Amanda Renaud, Mary Renaud, Ronald Renaud, and Lisa Devine and her husband, James; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed and treasured in the hearts of her family and all that who knew her. A private grave site service and burial will be held at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, PO Box 630, Ironia, NJ 07845 for a memorial to be purchased in Mary's name.
