Francesco "Frank" Castronuovo, 65 passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at St. Barnabas Hospital with his beloved family by his side.
Frank was born on October 29, 1955 to Angelo and Antonietta Russo-Casstronuovo in Sala Consilina, Italy. Beloved brother of Maria and Frank Costanzo of North Caldwell; Emilia and Vincenzo Caputo of Wayne; Michelle Castronuovo of Little Falls and the late Rosaria Castronuovo. Loving Uncle to Tina, Tony, Anthony, Angela, Angelo, Daniela, Louie, Antonella and Rosemarie. He was also adored by his many great nephews and nieces. Frank moved to the United States with his family in 1968, residing in Paterson, NJ where he attended JFK High School and went on to Seton Hall University. He then started his career working at Kearfott as an Electrical Engineer. He worked for many years and later retired living in Little Falls, NJ. Frank was always around his family providing love and support. His caring demeanor and generosity was felt by all. He loved laughing, playing cards, sharing jokes and spending time with his friends and family. His smile and a box of fresh pastries were always a guarantee when he visited. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a visitation at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, NJ on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be offered at Our Lady of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church at 473 Main Street, Little Falls, NJ on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Frank's honor to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org or to the American Heart Association www.heart.org

Zio Franco, thank you for being an amazing Zio. I will always remember your hugs, rubbing my face with your beard, your laugh, and bringing all of us Easter eggs. You always shared your love with each one of your nieces and nephews. You really were the best uncle.

Zio, you were always present with a smile and a joke. At times I saw you as my fun uncle and other times you were the big brother I could look to for advice. You will be missed but always remembered with a smile
