Edwin Luis Roberts was born April 14, 1974 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Luis and Damaris Roberts. Luis is the eldest of four children.
At the age of 11, Luis, his parents, and his siblings moved to New York. There, he continued school and completed his High School career at Taft High School. Luis and family moved to Paterson, New Jersey where he attended Passaic County Community College. It was there that he discovered a new love in technology. He took coursework in computers. After many years of working at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, Luis’ career went in another direction. He began working for AT&T in Paramus, NJ as a Technical Support Technician until he retired. In the Summer of 1994, Luis was introduce to Doris by a trusted and loving family member. They soon began dating and on July 8, 2004 Luis and Doris were united in marriage. Their love for each other continued to grow and they have made many beautiful memories together. On July 29, 2018, Luis was called home to eternal rest. He leaves with cherished memories his wife Doris, and daughters Alyssa and Kayla. Everyone who knew Luis know that he is extremely proud of the relationship that he nurtured with his daughters and how much they meant to him. Luis also leaves to mourn his parents, Damaris and Luis Roberts; sisters Wanda Luz (Tony) and Lilly Robins (Justin); brother Jose Roberts (Alisha), sister-in-law Lori Tullo (Michael); Aunts. Soky, Luisa;Cousins Johnny Santana and Mirta Semper; nieces Taylor, Jayda, Genevie, and Giana; nephews Mikey (Megan), Benjamin, Antonio, Xavier, Joshua, and Giovanni; great-niece Emmalynn. His family will receive their friends Saturday, August 4th from 12-2 pm, with a service at 1:15 pm, at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls.
