Arthur (Art) Schlosser passed away peacefully on May 24th, four days after suffering a fatal hemorrhagic stroke. He leaves behind his wife Loretta (Wuschnig) with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in September. He had five children and ten grandchildren. Dennis and his wife Liz of Little Falls and their children Kelly and her husband Billy, Christine, Erin and Michael; Daniel and his wife Courtney of Acworth GA; Donald and his wife Maryann of Wayne and their children Garrett and Keara; Darren and his wife Lori of Parsippany and their children Allyson and Eric and Donna Sheridan and her children Joseph and Nicholas. Artie also leaves behind five sisters Mary Wilkins (deceased), Virginia Green, Helen Thomas, Irene Madden and Joan Centrella.
Art served four years with the US Air Force. Upon discharge, he joined and 35 years later retired from Hoffmann La Roche in Nutley where he worked as an Electrician. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler. He loved sports, especially the Yankees and the NY Giants, and his daily newspaper and TV. He loved camping for many years with his family and friends. When his camping life ended, he spent time at his beach house in Surfside Beach SC. He led a simple, comfortable life with Loretta which was basically dedicated to being with and enjoying their children and grandchildren.
