Sonny was very dear to me and while time always came in between our seeing each other and catching up, the time spent having coffee and talking were very special to me...Mrs. Donato , Jacqui and the kids, our Father has welcomed Sonny home Himself and is free from pain and the suffering he endured. MAY HE REST PEACEFULLY, all my love, Cheryl

Al, i just heard that you passed away! i can't believe that i didn't hear about it sooner? i tried calling you many times but you didn't call back! i thought you maybey turned your phone off then like you did sometimes. i even passed the house a few times and wanted to stop in but i didn't want to bother you if you weren't feeling well. Wow, i am so sorry my friend to hear this. We had so many cool times together i don't even know where to start. i will always remember the ALLMAN BROTHERS shows we went to see together. Especially that one benefit show that GREGG ALLMAN did for liver transplants at the BEACON. i will miss you my friend.

Sonny was a childhood friend that I hadn't seen since we were 10. I often wondered what he was up to, and now that I've searched him out I see he's gone to better horizons. Life is beautiful when seen through the prism of innocence. You'll always be a great friend from my little town. See you on the other side. Lewis Pingo (Sonny)
