Albert Demee Jousset Jr., 71, of Clifton passed away on the morning of August 31, 2020. Albert was born and raised in Dover, New Hampshire as the eldest of five siblings to Albert Jousset and Grace Leary. In 1971 he studied History and English at William Penn College and in 1978 attended Virginia Theological Seminary. Albert had an extensive career as both a teacher and more notably as an Episcopal minister for the Diocese of Newark for over 25 years. He primarily worked for St. David's in Kinnelon, All Saints in Leonia, and Christ Church in Ridgewood where he was renowned for his dedication and leadership. Albert was awarded the Bishops Certificate of Merit as well as the Bishops Canterbury Scholar Award. Later in his life Albert served his time to working as a hospice companion to patients through Bayada Hospice.
Albert is survived by his children, Todd and his wife Carmen Jousset, Courtney and her husband Ryan Hayes, and Alexandra and her partner Chris Mulvey. He was the beloved and devoted grandfather to Luke and Addison Hayes and Jackie, Zachary, and Andrew Jousset and survived by his loving sisters and brother Sherry Fortuna, Gay Roy, and Jefferey Jousset. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Grace and brother Timothy. Albert enjoyed reading, history, and baseball (go Red Sox!) He will be remembered for being a dedicated clergy member but most of all a devoted and very loving parent and grandparent. He had a dynamic sense of humor and a great compassion for all walks of life and everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Due to Covid regulations at this time, services will be arranged at a later date that will be announced.
